Here at Lambda Chi Alpha, we pride ourselves on serving our community every semester by hosting and attending various philanthropic events. These events benefit numerous causes and organizations not limited to the Chapel Hill community. The main organizations that we benefit are Camp Kesem and the Orange County Rape Center.
Spring ’24
In Spring 2024, the chapter organized a fundraiser for the St. Baldricks foundation, which supports children’s cancer research. The chapter managed to raise an astounding $13,707 for this cause, and 5 brothers volunteered to raise money to have their heads shaved. This fundraiser included multiple events, one of which was having bunnies from Breadbox Farms over to the house for people to pet and play with. The chapter also was well represented and supported Pi Beta Phi’s Grill’n Chill, and Alpha Chi Omega’s Let’s Taco Bout’ It philanthropy events. Below are some photos from the St. Baldrick’s fundraiser and our event with bunnies from Breadbox Farms.

Fall 23′
In the Fall 2023 semester, the brothers supported various philanthropic events and movements on campus. The highlight of the semester was our chapter’s involvement in Mo’vember, which was a competition throughout the Greek community at UNC Chapel Hill, to spread awareness and support for men’s mental and physical health. Our chapter was extremely proud to have two of the top 5 contestants, Vincent Blum and Mac Geoffroy, in the final fundraising rankings, alongside finishing second overall among all fraternities at UNC. Our chapter also had strong attendance and support for Pi Beta Phi’s Eve Carson 5k and Alpha Chi Omega’s Sand Slam.
